Hey. Name's Jacob Jensen. Well, I don't have a whole lot to say about myself, rather, I have a bit to say about the book I'm writing that you are, hopefully, going to read. Firstly, thanks for taking your time to at least check out my story. Whether you're a friend, an aquaintance or a random stranger who stumbled upon it, thank you for taking time out of your precious day to read this. I'll do my best to post entire chapters at a time, but don't assume that will always be the case. At times I will, I'm sure, split the chapters into posts.
Now, let's get down to business.
A Warrior's Right began a few, probably two, weeks ago. It's a tale about an alien (to us) race called the Usai who have an ancient custom called a Right, or a right of passage. This right of passage is required so that each male may earn the right to live in Usai society. At age five the Usai enter academies that either all boy or all girl academies. From then until the age of fifteen they are taught math, all sorts of sciences, history, and most importantly, the Usai form of martial arts. Throughout their time in the academy they are ranked according to their proficiencies in their martial arts.
Then, at the age of fifteen, all male Usai are sent upon their Right. These Rights normally consist of being sent off planet on an incredibly dangerous mission. The higher the rank, the more likely it is that the Usai will die.
Our story is from the viewpoint of a fifteen year old male ranked first in his academy. The mission that he is about to embark upon is perilous, but it is imperitive that he fullfil it. But, as he embarks upon his journey, all may not be as it seems...
